GLAM GLOW REVIEW !

SO! I first heard of this when a friend Stacey recommended it to me, she found it one day while browsing at Sephora. Now if you know me, I'm all about my skin, I do my best to prevent acne and 5/7 days of the week I don't wear make up. Since I don't wear make up on a regular basis, I need my skin to look refreshed, clean and alive. Anyways back to my story, she told me about it and I quickly went and bought it myself.

Now there are two different types, there is the mask which targets acne which is the white jar and there is the black jar which is basically a facial in a jar. I couldn't choose which one to buy so I just bought both, best decision ever. I read the instructions on each of the packaging and basically decided that I'd use them both the same day. So what I did was I applied the white one first. Holy Crap, it basically showed me all the open pores on my skin which was gross but after leaving it on until it dried and washing it off, my skin was so smooth. Next I applied the black one, when I first applied it, it began to tingle, kind of sting a bit, but it was nothing unbearable. After applying that one, I let it dry and washed it off once I was done, my skin appeared smoother and I even had a glow going on. Once I was finished applying both of them I began to do my makeup and so on. But wow, once I finished my makeup I could totally tell the difference. If I haven't gotten a facial in a while my face starts looking bumpy and when I apply my makeup its more noticeable. Well the glam glow masks basically reduced all the bumps and made my skin a clean smooth canvas. It literally looked as if I had gotten a facial.

So basically I recommend all girls to go get it. If you don't have acne prone skin and don't want to buy both, I'd buy the black jar, which is the original. Its honestly amazing and made my life so much better. And yes, this mask made my life better. I can't say it will work for everyone but if you don't want to go ahead and spend 70$ on it, try getting a sample at your local Sephora before you splurge!

I spoil myself...

With all the success I feel is coming my way this year why not make a list of things I plan to buy myself? I tend to spoil myself a lot and sometimes I go over board, this year I'm trying to focus on quality over quantity. I rather splurge on something a bit more high end than buy 5 different items that are crappy quality.

CELINE LARGE AUDREY

I dont think I can even begin to express how much I love these sunglasses, they scream fabulous. I haven't tried them on yet so fingers crossed that they will go well with my face ! These will have to be purchased before summer.

ALEXANDER WANG 'EMILE SMALL' LEATHER TOTE

I've purchased way too many crappy black purses in my time, who knows how many of these handbags I could have bought. I'm a simple person, I'm no fashionista so I feel this bag is perfect for me. All of Alexander Wang's collection seems to be perfect for me.

Now that I'm growing up I want to be taken seriously. I can't be running around in dresses that I would wear when I was 18. Yeah, I know, big whoop I'm 20 now, but I'm honestly going for a more sophisticated and classy look for when I dress up. I found this dress and I'm honestly in absolute love, I can already see myself wearing it. Who is it by? Sorry I can't say! Haha, yes, Im selfish and want it all to myself. I'll probably also buy my 21st birthday by the same designer.

We'll that is everything for now, I obviously want a lot of things in life but these three items are things I'll have to save for .

DEAR APPLE METROTOWN

I have purchased 2 unlocked Iphone 5's recently with you and both experiences while purchasing were okay. The lack of attention you pay to customers is horrible. No one even came to ask me if I needed help or even tell me someone would be with me when the next employee is available. I had to literally get in someones face for attention because all your employee's basically ignored me. I visited your store again because I am having issues with one of the phones and I spoke to one of your employee's "JACK" and Jack was useless. I understand the store is busy but the least you can do is guide me in the right direction or at least tell me to make an appointment for some help. I work in the customer service industry and clearly you need to do some extra training for your employee's, what good is it for them to be so knowledgable but treat customers like crap ? I drove all the way from where I live to your store and for what? To get treated unfairly by your employee's ? All the experiences were a disappointment. Your employee's need to remember that the only reason they have jobs is because of US customers. They work in the customer service industry, its about time they learn to do their job right or to find a new career path.

Latina

So if you don't know me already, well one thing I can tell you is I am very proud of my Latin American heritage. Yes, my family comes from a third world country and I am 100% PROUD! Obviously I wish Nicaragua would prosper and that the poverty in the country would diminish but hey, you work with what you got, right?

I love absolutely everything about my culture from the food, clothing, language, music, dancing, men... HAHA I mean EVERYTHING! I embrace it as much as I can and I probably brag about it a little too much..don't hate! Don't get me wrong, every now and than my curly hair drives me crazy and I wish it was straight forever but in my family it comes with the territory. Now, I'm not your typical Latina you see in movies, I'm pretty fair skinned and I have green eyes but thats the thing about us, we are all SO different. There are Latinas with light skin, blonde hair and blue eyes and there are also Latinas with dark hair, dark eyes and dark skin, like my Tia. None of us are the same, well maybe in the hot blooded part, where we have a temper and our blood tends to boil faster than others...Learn to love it. But anyways, I'm not saying being Latina is the best, but I would never change my culture and ethnicity for anything in the world. SOY 100% ORGULLOSA DE SER LATINA <3

p.s - I love when people love our latin culture and heritage but HATE when people try to act like they are it. Please don't, embrace where you are from.

being lazy...

So I've literally become such a lazy person which is why one of my main goals for myself this year is to at least better myself in that department. Im too lazy to get ready, too lazy to go to the gym, basically I'm just too lazy to do anything! Now being lazy here and there isn't a bad thing, but I've been in this lazy stage of my life for about 3 years now, I KNOW! WTF? Its time for me to step my game up and get my life going! Now I don't expect myself to just wake up tomorrow and be the old energetic, self motivated person I was 3 years ago, but I do hope I can get there or become better than that, this year.

I really need to start getting ready and start looking more presentable. Jumping out of bed and throwing your hair in a bun everyday isn't cute anymore Daniela. (Im even too lazy to use a sock bun) I was telling my friend this week that I probably have lost so many opportunities in the past 3 years because my butt is too lazy to look nice that people wont approach me. I know it sounds shallow, but people want to talk to people who look nice and presentable. And by opportunities I'm talking jobs or even meeting someone who could help me get to where I want to be in life career wise. If you're lazy like me, its time for us to stop. If I'm lazy now lets not even start imagining how I will be when I have kids...Ay dios mio...

...Working out is my other issue. I literally used to live at the gym, I was there at least 5 times a week. I would even wake up at 8am on weekends and JOG to the gym. I was so dedicated ! I also had my friends from the gym, who would notice when I would miss a day since we were all regulars. (surrounding myself with people who motivated me) I need to get back to that. I stopped because I lost a bunch of weight when I got stomach flu, which I never gained back and I'm clearly just lazy.

I will make these changes in my life..slowly, but surely.

my lipgloss be poppin...scratch that its all about LIPSTICK!

So a couple years ago I wouldn't be caught dead wearing lipstick, maybe for fun in my bedroom but never out in public. I was a lipgloss girl, clear gloss or if I wanted to be RISKAYY , I would use a mocha color gloss...OOOHHHH AHHH ahaha. Back to the subject, LIPSTICK. I started wearing lipstick because the girls I watch on youtube would, they would talk about colors, I liked how it looked on them, so I would go buy it myself. I started out with only nudes and gradually started wearing pinks. It wasn't until last winter and by last I mean winter 2011, that I first purchased my first BOLD lipsticks. It was intimidating but the girl at the counter that was helping me choose colors told me " You can wear any color you want, you just have to be confident while wearing it". Well clearly I've become super confident now because dark bold lipstick is basically all I wear. (whenever I do decide to wear lipstick)

Some tips and tricks for when you wear lipstick

  • If your lipstick bleeds a lot and gets all over your FACE, use translucent powder over top of it, it helps keep it in place and also gives you a hot matte finish
  • If you're using a bold color, try finding a lip liner close to the shade so it lasts longer and when it starts to come off theres not a huge difference.
  • Lip Brushes are your best friend if you want it to be super precise, especially for crazy colors.
Anyways thats all I really had to say, kind of a random post.

Purity...

Okay so I use a million different beauty products, if I hear something is good, I'll go out and buy it and try it myself. Some girls love clothes, some girls love shoes, I love everything that has to do with beauty. So when I first heard about Purity I was hesitant. Some philosophy products just don't get along with my skin. But I was randomly shopping one day and luckily got it as a sample. Yay! Who doesn't love a sample ? So I went home, tried it, didn't like it too much and ended up giving it to my sister.

A couple months later, I couldn't find a cleanser, it was late at night and the only thing I could find was Purity. I had a full face of make up on, foundation, mascara, eyeshadow, eyelash glue..the works and knew taking it all off was going to be a hassle. Well I was completely wrong. It literally all came off, no need for me to use eye make up remover, no nada! I literally recommend this product to all my amigas, GO AND BUY IT! Its amazing, it makes my skin feel fresh and clean and if it takes off my make up without having to spend extra on eye make up remover, its good in my books! If you don't want to go out and buy it, you should at least go to a Philosophy counter and try and get a sample so you can give it a go!

The People In Your Life...

I used to have tons of friends, who I honestly thought I'd be friends with forever. I know, what a dumb little girl I was. But I thought it was a good thing, I thought the amount of friends I had showed some sort of status, I thought it made me...special? Of course I was wrong. When you go through things in life, you come to the realization of who your real friends are. You know that cheesy saying "through thick and thin" well your actual FRIENDS stick around "through thick and thin" and the phony's just disappear.

I've come to the point in my life where I seriously don't trust anyone and feel that people need to prove themselves to me. Why? Because people are shady and have taken advantage of me being too nice. I refuse to just let anyone be in my life, being my friend is a privilege. I feel I treat my friends very well, they see it and I see it. The people that are now in my life are ones I can see staying in my life forever and they know who they are. I don't like to have people in my life that I feel are useless, you need to be going somewhere or at least trying to. I believe that the people you surround yourself with are a reflection on you. If my friends are going places and being productive, it makes me want to work hard and be productive so I'm not left behind. If my friends are lazy, get drunk every weekend and all they do is work and party, i'll probably be the same. I know and see too many people that I know wont go anywhere in life and it sounds mean for me to say that, but its the truth. If your not doing anything in life and you have no one in your life to motivate you, well you wont go far. You become like the people you hang out with and vice versa.

BUT ANYWAYS...the whole point of this post is to basically say, friends come and go, the real ones stick around and choose your friends wisely.
